The Aquarium Pharmaceuticals (API) Nitrite NO2 test kit tests for nitrite in freshwater & saltwater aquariums. Toxic nitrite is produced by nitrifying bacteria in the biological filter as it breaks down ammonia. Nitrite is also produced in the aquarium by fish waste and uneaten fish food.
Low levels of nitrite inhibit respiration and suppress the immune system, high levels cause fish suffocation and death.
This kit tests for harmful nitrite and measures levels from 0 to 5.0 ppm.

A very good product to check the PH level, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels. An accurate reading. I have cross checked the PH with a digital scale and rhey are more or less accurate. It will be great if the range is further broken down and the colour scale improved since small changes effect the aqua life. Overall a must have if you love your aquarium and the aqua life in it. Easy to use and great product.

A must for aquarium and biofloc maintenance. Please mind that this kit is salt water or high ph kit, hence you will receive only high ph testing reagent. If you require low ph testing reagent, then go for fresh water testing kit. Although high range ph testing provide you with results from 7 and higher ph, which is enough to serve the purpose of aquarium and biofloc (since 7-8 ph is necessary to maintain). Overall good product.
